Expatriate Parents often ask, their first Christmas in Switzerland, whether there are Santa’s Villages or places where they can go to have their child photographed with Santa.
We all know Christmas markets are aplenty, but Santa photography? It does exist here, but it’s not at all like the North American ovariety where every indoor mall/shopping centre opens a Santa’s village, as early as mid-November, staffed with elves, a full-time Santa, and a professional photographer, and you cue, sometimes ages, to get that time with Santa and the requisite photo. No, it’s not like that at all.
Instead, many indoor malls have a few days/times when there is a Santa on the premises, and where photos can be taken, and often the photos are FREE, you just cannot pick them up right away.
