With families living further apart and parents often limiting themselves to two or three children, not only do we not see pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding, and parenting, but we also do not experience caring for younger siblings. As such, instead of learning throughout our lifetimes about what’s normal in pregnancy & birth and how to care for babies and children, we often learn on the job with the birth of our own babies.
For this reason, many parents decide to participate in various workshops and classes or join different clubs and groups.
